Rick McFarland

Director and DoP

Rick McFarland's work spans Fortune 500 advertising, independent features and documentaries. His credits include My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, Stalking Santa, Truth & Conviction and the award-winning Highway to Dhampus, which he wrote and directed in Nepal. Rick co-owns fiftyfilms with his wife, Dawn.

Previous to fiftyfilms, his work included commercial campaigns for the Utah Transit Authority, Intermountain Healthcare and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, as well as producing Stalking Santa, starring William Shatner, and Truth and Conviction: The Helmuth Hübener Story.

Dawn McFarland

Producer, Makeup & Wardrobe

Dawn McFarland co-owns fiftyfilms and has produced across film and brand campaigns since 2013, with recent work spanning Iconoclast, Homestead: The Series and brand projects for Verizon, MasterControl and the American Diabetes Association. She has styled hair, makeup and wardrobe on set since 2005 — known for staying prepared, anticipating problems early and keeping everyone in front of the camera comfortable.
